Jimmy Carter- Worst President/ Worst Former President

This weekend a few bitter, angry liberals are meeting down in Athens, Georgia to "celebrate" the "accomplishments" of America's worst President James Earl Carter. They will most certainly have to engage in some serious revisionism in order to credit anything positive to ole Jimmah. They will have to write articles like this one from the Atlanta Journal/Constitution titled "In Hindsight, Carter Gets His Due". In that article, Walter Mondale boasts "Well, we told the truth, we obeyed the law and we kept the peace. And it didn't sound like much at the time." In other words, we did absolutely nothing, while the economy was a disaster and the Soviets took the lead in the Cold War, and we are proud of that.

After leaving office, Carter did an honorable thing by helping build Habitat for Humanity homes. At that time, many journalists had labeled him the best ex-president ever. Since that time though, he has squandered whatever respect he had earned by opening his mouth, writing a book, and revealing who he really was. I could go on and on about all of the stupid things Carter has said in recent years, but none of that compares to Carter's recent book "Peace Not Apartheid", which Alan Dershowitz discusses here.

What is it with you Democrats, especially you Jewish Americans who are so loyal to your party? Do you actually think that Carter is alone in his views? People wake up. The Democratic Party has become the party of opposition to Israel, the pro-Palestinian party. When will you learn?
